Administrivia: Social Networking Tweaks
There is always something to clean and tweak, isn’t there? The other day a consulting colleague described how she has set up her social networking tree. Facebook is her trunk, everything else is fed from that.
Well, it is a Happy Accident indeed, that Greg Pincus is Pretty Well Connected, because he helped me work through the logic of one path over another!
So here I am, using this Administrivia post to see just how well I “trimmed” the tree.
This should feed Facebook, which should feed Twitter, which should feed FriendFeed …
Keep your fingers crossed.

I think you just blew my mind. I didn’t understand any of that.
Most days, I don’t “get” it, but when she explained how she picked Facebook to feed everything else … and that it all branches out like a tree, I could see what she was saying. What I couldn’t figure out was why it mattered that you started with FB and then fed to twitter, vs. starting with Twitter and feeding Facebook. That’s where Greg’s expertise came in handy! Does that help?
I’m in awe of your efforts! I’m constantly trying to figure out how to juggle my various social networking “stuff.”
Every time I think I have a handle on it, I get new information from someone that is using the same *stuff* but gets it to work for her rather than her having to work “it.” The key is finding a starter spot and then putting the tools in place to have that starter feed the other outlets on the chain.
