All @ Summer
Summer is a time when lots of things “slide.” Our schedules are a little more relaxed, but yet very full. It is also the time where all that learning from the previous year starts to slip from memory, too.
One way to help reinforce (and retain) that learning is to keep kids reading during the summer. Summer reading is fun reading, and kids need to be free to pick their own books.
Visit your local library to check out their Summer Reading Program. Even if you don’t sign up, be sure to ask the librarian for suggestions. Whatever subject your child loves or is curious about, the librarian is sure to have something that other kids have loved.
From beloved summer activities to “what we did on our summer vacation,” this list shares some of our favorite summer-centric titles.
