Yes there were lots of us who shopped for Christmas last weekend and survived the Cyber Monday deals. But not all of us were ready to start our holiday shopping yet. Some of us weren’t even sure what to put on the lists!

Well, I have an idea this Christmas that won’t cost you one extra cent AND it helps two all-volunteer organizations near and dear to my heart: the Children’s and Young Adult Bloggers Literary Awards (Cybils) and the Reading Tub. So here’s my idea …

search for goodWhen you are starting your research for the best price on that Christmas gift for your brother, your niece, your nephew … use Goodsearch and pick the Reading Tub as your charity. We can earn 1c for each of your searches.

Goodsearch is a Yahoo! search engine … so you’re still getting great results! You can even search “best Christmas gifts for Uncle Bob”!

THEN when you are ready to make your purchases help the CybilsUse THIS LINK to purchase gifts through Amazon.com. Purchases through the link help Team Cybils buy “non-cheesy gifts for our award winners.”

If you’re not an Amazon-ie when it comes to books, then visit IndieBound.com to find Independent Bookstores in your area. Here are two other ideas …

Cybils blingIf you want a gift guaranteed not to be a duplicate, then you need to visit the Cafe Press store to get some Cybils bling.

Don’t forget … you have a list too! Be sure to ask for some kick-butt Cybils gear.

Last but not least, if you’re shopping online directly through a merchant, click through GoodShop … there are more than 2,500 e-Tailers who donate a percentage of your purchase to charity.

We still have 27 shopping days ’til Christmas … let’s do something good!
