As promised, we’re featuring another Cybils-nominated book for this week’s Throwback Thursday Book Review MEME. Some of you may know Martha Freeman from the Chickadee Court series (Who Stole Halloween, Who is Stealing the 12 Days of Christmas). The Case of the Rock ‘n Roll Dog is the first title in her First Kids Mystery series.

Cammie is the First Daughter. Her mom is the President of the United States. She lives in the White House with her younger sister, Tessa, her Aunt, her cousin, and her dog, Hooligan. Hooligan creates quite a stir in the White House, terrorizing the furniture and stealing markers and other small objects. As a tween, Cammie thinks that being the daughter of the President is tough. She just wants a normal life like the rest of the kids in her class. However, when a popular boy band arranges a concert at her House, how can she be too upset? Unfortunately, during a rehearsal, the conductor’s baton goes missing. Can Cammie and Tessa uncover the clues to find the baton in time for the concert?

Why a Throwback Thursday for Book Reviews?

Those of us who blog about books are a community. We read lots of books, we write lots of reviews, and we share those reviews with fellow book lovers and those in search of books for children and teens on our blogs, websites, and via social media.

We write so many reviews that, over time, they get buried by other, newer reviews. BUT! that book we read three years ago will always be new to some reader, somewhere. So why not share that review with a new audience?
