When I read the description I wasn’t sure this book would be my forte, but it sucked me in straight away. I am usually not a fan of mysteries unless it’s fantasy, but two pages in I wasn’t able to put it down until I finished the book completely. What is truly amazing about this book is that it is for everyone from middle school to adults.

This is one of the best book series I have ever read. I would buy this for myself and a friend. If you liked Twilight, you will like the Fallen series and this book. The paranormal romance is well done, and the biblical inferences make it intriguing and interesting.

NOTE: Torment is Book 2 in this duology. Fallen is Book 1.
Despite the heavier topics of death and loss, humor is woven throughout the story. The friendship dynamic with Jack and his best friends Jillian and Franny is also good. Buy this book for yourself or a loved one.
