Borrow. This is an excellent book for the library, but one that you'll only borrow for home use. It is an excellent choice when you're looking for a book to illustrate how kids grew up in other times (and just happened to be famous!).
Little Kid Reaction:
My daughter picked out this book. She liked the pictures. She thought the story was cute and easy to read. She liked learning about a famous person when he was young. She wanted to read this one again.
Big Kid Reaction:
I liked the simple way the story was written. It was a story that you could enjoy about a famous person and get a better understanding about his childhood. I wasn’t sure how easy the book would be to understand so was glad when she understood and enjoyed the book.
Pros:

This is an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand biography of someone in history kids will recognize. This is a good story.

Cons:

None.
