Cleo the cat explores the colors in her world, both inside and out. She rends up in bed saying "good night" to the white moon.
Bright, fun colors and a sweet cat will delight young readers. The text is just the right length for a 2-year-old.
For color learning, some colors are under-represented or not presented in their clear, pure form.
My 2-year-old son liked identifying everything on the page. He especially liked the scenes where Cleo was playing with the ball, eating ice cream, and taking a bath, probably because he can relate to them. we read this together, but sometimes he picked it up to read on his own.
I liked this book. It's very colorful and has a great color overview. I was a little disappointed by a couple colors represented; the object of that color was so small that it did not seem to have an obvious impact on color learning, or the color was not done well. Purpole was very dark and orange was very red.
Learn your colors with Cleo the cat.
This is a book that is fun for color learning and object identification. It is a good way to connect kids to recognizing some of the things in their world, too.

Read with children 2 years old and 4 years old.
Borrow. If I were given this book as a present, we would enjoy it, but I would not rely on it solely for teaching beginning color recommendation.
