Dizzy
Dizzy is very busy. He loves to show his bay friends all his tricks and race with them ... long after they're tuckered out. One day, Dizzy learned that while he had been out racing the deep blue, his friends had stayed behind and were feasting on fish! Can Dizzy slow down enough to share in this daily bounty.
The book makes it easy to learn factual information about marine species (in this case Pacific white-sided dolphins) in a fun, refreshing way.
None.
"Boy, he's fast." Our child liked the story ... and wanted to read it again so s/he could find out how Dizzy made that tunnel of water on the front cover.
This is another star(fish) for Stacy Nyikos. We enjoy reading the story and learning more about marine life. She has a great talent for blending facts and a life-lesson tale (patience) into a rhyming story that never misses a beat.
This is a picture book that blends facts about dolphins with a story kids will love.
The story lends itself to talking about patience and delayed gratification at a level young readers/pre-readers can absorb. The resource information in the back offers you the added benefit of further study about Pacific white-sided dolphins.
