The barnyard animals are getting ready to celebrate Christmas. When Ernest realizes his friend Chester is missing, he goes out into the snowy night to find him. In the true spirit of Christmas, it is the love of all the animals that bring Chester home.
The story celebrates the season with a unique story. The setting is the stable, but it isn't over played. You can read this one all winter long.
S/He liked the story, and quickly started acting it out, trying to help Ernest rescue Chester.
This is a really sweet story. You quickly get wrapped up in the story of helping everyone bring Chester safely home. It makes me want to seek out the other books in this series.
This is a holiday book with a nice twist on a traditional theme.
The story makes it easy to emphasize caring for others, the importance of friendship, and the power of teamwork.
