Fancy Nancy And The Posh Puppy
Fancy Nancy wants a dog. She has a certain dog in mind that she thinks will look the best - the one that will be the fanciest. She spends the day with a dog like the one she wants but discovers he doesn't play well with her family. Nancy is upset but then her family stops by an animal shelter and find the perfect dog for them.
Fancy Nancy is colorful as a character and these are fun books to read. This story is a good example of a family and also shows how you can be unique.
Fancy Nancy comes across as a little smart mouthed. My daughter didn’t think so but I thought they could have made her sound friendlier.
My daughter loved this book! She liked the pictures and had me stop on each page so she could look at all the fancy clothes and hairdos. She laughed a lot, and in the end, she was happy the family found a dog they all liked.
I enjoyed the pictures. The story is a good example of what a normal family may go through while searching for a family dog. I was surprised how much my daughter related to the young girl so well. She felt like she was right there in the story with Fancy Nancy!
This is a picture book story about a young girl famous for her frilly and fancy ways.
This is a great book for talking about families (how they make decisions together), how people like different things, and also about expectations (Nancy's "perfect" choice wasn't so perfect).
