Glasses, Glasses Oh What Do I See?
A young preschooler tells us how he went from seeing just blurs and squiggles to having great vision. He explains what happens when you go to the eye doctor.
The story introduces vision to elementary students in language they can understand. It will also offer encouragement to the child who has just gotten their first pair of glasses. The fact sheet and the health information form at the back are helpful, too.
None, really. The story deserves the skills of a polished, known illustrator.
Our preschooler was intrigued by the story from the first reading. We read it again that night and have been reading it every couple nights for about three weeks now.
There a plenty of books about going to a doctor or dentist, but none about eye doctors. Bravo! The story moves along well, though the illustrations are a little flat.
This is a picture book that teaches kids about vision and optometry.
This book will be great for introducing eye care, as well as preparing youngsters for their visit to the eye doctor.
