Darcy is upset. Her best friend is sick and can't come over to play. Darcy had a whole list of fun things to do. But Daddy has his own list and when they combine them, Daddy and Darcy create a special day of their own. With dress up, mowing, hair salon, laundry, hammering a fence, and painting their nails, they have the perfect, if exhausting, day.
Young Readers (4, 6):
Both of my kids really liked it. My daughter really identified with Darcy and wanted to read it with her own Daddy. We read this several times. I wasn't surprised they liked it. It has great illustrations and a silly story.
I did like this book, I thought it was really sweet and very relatable.
Everyone can enjoy this story with funny illustrations, a great story, relatable characters, and realistic situations.
This is a picture book about family life and being flexible!
Enjoy this for the story it offers. Talk about times when you did fun things together. Maybe plan a Daddy-Daughter day of your own.

Borrow. This is a fantastic book to borrow from the library, but I'm not sure that my kids would read it throughout the years.
