Honus And Me (Baseball Card Adventure)

Joe Stoshack (Stosh) lives in Louisville, Kentucky with his mom, a nurse. Kids always tease him for the way he looks and how his legs are excessively bowlegged. One day when he is cleaning the attic of his old neighbor he finds a 1909 T206 Honus Wagner card, the most valuable baseball card in the world. Joe takes it to a card shop where the owner, Birdie Farrell, tries to trick him into selling it for ten dollars. Joe, who knows and loves baseball, doesn't fall for it. That night, Joe sleeps with the card, wishing he could meet Honus. When he wakes up to see Wagner in his Pirates uniform sitting in front of him, he thinks its a dream. But its not: Joe later sees Honus near one of his baseball games, and they agree to meet in Joe's room later ... ultimately traveling back to the 1909 World Series, where Joe gets a chance to bat. But what about that card? Will Birdie Farrell give up on it that easily?
