How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You?
So? How does he do it? Even after he’s been a naughty dinosaur, he will turn and smile, with a hug and a kiss, and that’s how he says he loves you! And you know, you love him back.
Combine fun illustrations and the words “I love you” over and over again, and you've got a treasure. Kids will be inspired to give the reader a few extra hugs and kisses! This has a super message.
Absolutely none!
I picked this out the first time, but both of my boys kept coming back asking me to read it again.
The best part about this book is that I usually ended up getting extra hugs and kisses from them. Who could go wrong with a book that inspires such behavior? I love the Yolen/Teague relationship. My other favorite is How do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food?. (I'm not a huge fan of the Get Well Soon or Go To Bed books, though.) The pictures are funny, especially to see a kid dinosaur towering over their human parents. Fun illustrations, super message. Truly a keeper!
This is a picture book story about unconditional love.
With light humor and visual prompts, kids learn about unconditional love, forgiveness, tolerance, and trying to behave. These are great messages ... but the author doesn't beat kids over the head with them.

Read with two boys, ages 3 and 5.
Buy! This is a keeper for any library, but especially for little boys.
