Use this book to help kids (especially toddlers and preschoolers) understand tools better. You can also beef up the "tool safety" theme. Really bring the book alive by starting your own family project ... like the birdhouse in this story.

Little Kid Reaction
My daughter picked this book, and we read it several times. She liked seeing the different tools and how they were used to make something special. She wanted to stop reading and go see the real tools in Daddy's garage.
Big Kid Reaction
I liked how they described how the tools were being used was informative without being boring! It shows us that even little kids can help when grownups are using tools.
Pros:

This is a good book for teaching young children about tools, tool safety, and doing things together as a family.

Cons:

None.
