My daughter picked this book because she recognized David from Mrs. Gorski I Think I Have the Wiggle Fidgets. She liked the story and laughed that there were words we couldn't pronounce.
This is an exceptional book. It is a wonderful story for families to share, but it would also be very valuable in the classroom, too. Katie tells the story, so she is both daughter and classmate - two "positions" kids can understand. There is more to the illustrations than just the story you are reading, and that's where you'll find some of the humor.
This picture book explains dyslexia to kids in ways they can process it for themselves.
There are lots of layers to this book. In addition to learning about dyslexia, kids can learn empathy and acceptance, as well as research and history.

Borrow, at least. This is an enlightening book for all children. If you have a child who struggles to read because of dyslexia, this is a must-have for your home library.
