Leap ... Laugh ... Plop

Summary:

This book has pictures of animals and movement activities to get kids moving and thinking. A short rhyme on each page spread is followed by three questions to exercise both the mind and body.

Reader Enjoyment Factors:

This is a fun way to get kids to move and think differently about how movement works.

Content Awareness Factors:

The short rhymes are not well written.

Little Kid Reaction

My 3-year-old had a hard time going along with the movements. My 5-year-old really enjoyed moving, acting like the animals, and answering the questions.

Big Kid Reaction

This would be a great book for a preschool setting. I liked it better than their other book, Kick … Catch… Buzzzzz. This one has less wasted space on rhymes, and you can tell better what the animals are.

Type of Book:
This is a picture book that uses movement to engage kids with books.
Educational Themes:

This one is all about getting exercise and using your imagination.
