Little Oink likes the things other pigs like - digging in the dirt, stories with Mama and Papa, cafeteria food. But he didn't like messes. He doesn't understand, but he does as he is told and when everything is a mess, Mama and Papa jump for joy. But what does Little Oink do?
A cute little pig, a simple story, and a clever twist make this picture book fun for children and parents alike.
7YO: Our daughter giggled her way through this. She thought it was funny that Mama Pig and Papa Pig never thought things were messy enough.
Family 1: This is a clever twist on the clean-your-room idea. Little Oink is adorable, both in image and personality, and the story makes me giggle every time I read it. We thought for sure that our daughter would want to be Little Oink and create a mess in her room. Luckily we were wrong. Still, we could easily see this happening with a younger child.
5YO: My daughter picked this book because of the title and she loved it! She liked that Little Oink's parents made him mess up his room instead of clean it up. She laughed when he goes to play and his playing is cleaning! She said it was a funny book because it was opposite of what a little pig should want to do. She said she wished she was told to go mess up her room one time instead of clean it up.
Family 2: This is a fun, quick read about a pig that likes to be different.
This upside-down look at doing chores will put a smile on everyone's face.
This is a book meant for sharing "just because." It is cute, silly, and has some wordplay that will delight toddlers and preschoolers. The vocabulary is just right (and repetitious enough) to use this as an easy reader.

Buy. This is a cute book that young listeners will love and quickly learn to "read" themselves. We would buy this for any kid. It's cute and easy to read. Every library should have this!
