Content Awareness Factors:

None.

Little Kid Reaction

She couldn't read this story enough. By the second week, we were substituting "Lizzy" and "skunk" for our toddler and her lovey's names. S/He loved to help Lizzy find Skunk.

Parent Reaction

Our toddler pulled this one from the shelf from the library and it didn't disappoint. It is a sweet story that lays out every toddler/preschooler's fears: spiders, the dark, high places, being on stage and, most importantly, being alone.

Type of Book:
This book reminds us just how valuable a lovey is to a child … and a child is to that lovey.
Educational Themes:

You can enjoy the book for the story of friendship that it is, or it's a great one to have nearby if you have a toddler/preschooler who tends to frighten easily.
