Lots Of Dots
Have you ever looked at the dots around you? They come in all sizes and colors. They can move you, they can decorate things, you can even eat them!
Silhouttes, bright colors, and simple text combine in this picture book that doubles as an easy reader. This is a book that will reach audiences from 1 to 7.
If you are looking for a true story with a plot, this may not be what you want.
This was such a hit that my daughter instantly started transcribing the text so she could take it to school and read to her friends! [She ended up taking the book.] She loved the bright colors and enjoyed figuring out the "next" circles to come. At the end she went back and forth among the pages to see all the things in the back that were (or weren't) mentioned in the main story.
I love this book on so many levels. The colors are bright, but simply presented. There is plenty of white space, so the result is that even though there is something happening in a picture, it is not too overwhelming for toddlers. The simple text lets kids practice reading and have fun, too. This is VERY clever.
This is a colorful, comprehensive look at the circles and spheres that surround us.
There is a lot you can do with this book. With toddlers and preschoolers you can explore colors and size. Kindergarteners can practice reading. It is also easy to bring this book to life by going on a dot hunt!

Buy. This book has so much longevity and fun to it. This is one that would make a great selection for a family with a new baby (especially if there is a slightly older sibling).
