Moscow Ballet's Tales Of Classical Ballet
This book showcases ten popular ballet productions, from The Nutcracker to Swan Lake, with a summary of the plot and beautiful, ornate illustrations.
You don't need to know (or love) ballet to appreciate this book. The illustrations are incredible and as beautiful as the stories themselves.
None.
The stories are well written and made me want to see the ballets as soon as possible. Although this is a children’s book, I believe this is a volume that a person of any age will enjoy because of the depth of the narration. I only wish that I had read this book when I was seven or eight. Maybe I’d be a ballerina today! Fabulous book-bravo!
You don't have to be a fan of ballet. If you love great stories illustrations, you will love this book. We shared this with our 3-year-old several weeks ago. She STILL periodically asks us to read from it, but is just as likely to sit and "read" herself. The illustrations are captivating.
This is as much an art book as a story book.
This book is an incredible tool for introducing kids to ballet. They'll understand the story before they get to the theater.
