Little Kid Reaction
I picked this, but my son really enjoyed it. He liked the challenge of his first illustrated chapter book. He laughed when Mr. Putter was rearranging his furniture instead of writing.

Big Kid Reaction
This is a good book for both of my sons (age six, advanced reader, age seven, on grade level). I thought it might be too difficult for my younger son. He did surprisingly well and used the pictures a lot for clues for words he didn’t know.
