Rabbityness

Summary:

Rabbit likes doing rabbity things, like hopping, eating grass, and burrowing. And then, he has some decidedly unrabbity habits, such as painting and music. But what happens to the other rabbits when he leaves? They find that they can be just as colorful and unrabbity.

Enjoy this very cute and positive story, great illustrations, and a clever integration of art and music.

Content Awareness Factors:

None.

Little Kid Reaction

They really liked it. The thought of a rabbit painting or playing music was endlessly amusing, as well as the explosion of color.

Parent Reaction

I really liked this book. It has a sweet story and the illustrations are gorgeous and bright. I was not that surprised that my kids liked Rabbityness, between the colors and words like "Rabbity," I knew they would like it.

Type of Book:
This picture book story shows that people can think of you - even when you're not around.
Educational Themes:

This is a story where you can draw out themes of friendship, being true to yourself, and creativity. You can also have fun with creating new words. Just like certain things have rabbityness; are there things that are sheepyness? or cowyness? and what 'hobbies' would you envision a sheep having? or a cow?
