Rodeo Rocky (The Horses Of Half Moon Ranch Series)
Kirstie Scott's family operates Half Moon Ranch, a dude ranch near Denver, Colorado. Kirstie (age 9) loves horses and expects them to be treated and cared for just like they were people. At the San Luis Competition (rodeo), Kirstie and her friends learn that rodeo horses are frequently physically abused and mamed. Kirstie is apppalled and wants to put an end to the pain. With the help and support of her family, friends, and a horse named Rodeo Rocky, she sets out to prove there’s a better way to raise horses.
This is a heart-warming story that preteen girls will love (even if they aren't horse afficianados)!
None.
Rodeo Rocky is a great read. The book starts out very slowly and introduces all of the different characters in very subtle ways. I would definitely recommend this book to any horse lover, or any one of my friends who like reading adventures. This book is well written and has many very detailed images. This is one of those books I would read over and over again, not to mention all of the other books in the series (providing that they are as good as this one ... or even better). This is definitely a page turner, and one of the books you can't put down. A few suggestions I have to the author of this book would definitely be to make this book so it is a little bit more teen friendly. This book is written towards kids or early middle schooled kids but I’m sure with a couple changes Rodeo Rocky could become a very popular book with teenagers. Overall this book was very interesting and fascinating and I am looking forward to new books in the series to read.
In Rodeo Rocky the author engages preteen girls in one of their passions: horses. The story immediately grabs her readers and holds them spellbound. The characters are believable and the plot and subplots maintain the pace and authenticity of the book.
This is part of an adventure series about a girl and her love of horses.
This book is enjoyable to read. The story, characters and plot are believable. A savvy teacher or parent will recognize opportunities to discuss the predicaments and challenges that the characters faced in trying to do the right thing.

Borrow, at least. This is the second book in the series, and like the first story, it catches and keeps the attention of its readers. It is a heart-warming story that friends will talk about for a long time. The long and short of it is that the book is in
