Musical Fun for New Readers

Summary:

Pig in a Wig is planning a concert in the park. She’s getting everything she needs to lead the band: a stage, music, and friends with instruments. Practice is underway, but when Mouse arrives with his tuba, the music stops. Elephant was scared. Will the Pig in a Wig Band get back together?

Parent Perspective:
Another cute Pig in a Wig book! Honestly, if I hadn’t read the blurb (after) I wouldn’t have realized that it was elephant who was frightened by mouse.  What I did notice is how the story stayed on point. The illustrations of Pig and Mouse’s expressions showed their emotions, but the text kept its focus on making the concert happen.

Although this is a book series, young readers can pick any book, in any order, and enjoy a fun.

Reader Enjoyment Factors:
