the bwanazaa jungle adventure

Summary:

Meet the Jungle Explorer of the Year! How did she do it? Well, she helped Professor Smithers protect the Bwanazaa gorillas. Some people want to put them in the zoo, but that's not where they belong. But traveling in the jungle is very tricky. There are lots of animals, and some of them are dangerous.

Educational Themes:
Toddlers and preschoolers will benefit from the time shared reading a story together. They may recognize some of the animals, but there is still plenty to talk about, whether its the animals or just exploring the illustrations. This is also a good book to consider for remedial readers, particularly if they have younger siblings.

Recommended Age To Read Together:

Little Kid Reaction

He liked the story and wanted to read it again.

Big Kid Reaction

This wasn't my type of book. I was glad that he wanted to read it again; it encourages me to read with him more often.

Pros:

As a personalized story, young kids will love to see themselves helping out with the zoo's "wild beasts." Being the hero at the end is a great boost, too.

Cons:

None.
