A knight and a dragon who never learned to fight each other reluctantly take up the study of how to do each other in, but fail miserably at it and instead, thanks to the help of a librarian, open a BBQ restaurant.
Tomie De Paola's artwork is, of course, terrific.
A BBQ restaurant?!? It's such a hard left turn that readers get whiplash.
It's funny to see the knight trying and failing to use his lance, and the dragon setting everything afire but his opponent.
So they opened a BBQ restaurant?!? Okay, I suppose the moral is, don’t fight?
This is a fantasy story with a happy ending
You can use this book just to have some laughs or use the humor of it for teaching about conflict management.
