The Perfect Thanksgiving
Our young narrator contrasts Thanksgiving at her house with the celebration at Abigail Archer's. Although the events are different, they still share many similarities.
The story offers contrasts without being judgmental. The illustrations make the book fun to read, and the contrasts are bold enough to make it easy for a preschooler to identify the differences.
None, other than it's seasonal. The story offers a theme that would be nice to have around at other times of the year when judgements or envy might strike.
This was an instant hit. With bright, comic-like graphics, the pictures always incite spontaneous giggles.
We could easily identify the story with our own Thanksgiving experiences. The story moves quickly and there are plenty of subtleties in the illustration that any adult will enjoy.
This is a story that offers young readers a very vivid, fun description of opposites - all with a holiday twist.
The story offers a fun, easy way for you to introduce the idea that while we may do different things, that doesn't mean there's a right or wrong way to celebrate an occasion.

Started reading with child 3 years old.
This one could go either way. It's a fun read, and would be nice to have around, but it is a seasonal book, and it's fun may only last a few years.
