Summary:
Rose and Valentina are two friends love pink. When Rose gets a new lunchbox, Valentina wants one too. Rose gets upset. Then Valentina gets a new backpack, and Rose is jealous.

This is an excellent story to talk about feelings and how to deal with them. The main theme is jealousy, but there are other emotions. For example, the story opens with the two girls laughing together.

I liked the lesson on jealousy. The author incorporated the lesson in a a fun way that appeals to little girls, but can also be appreciated by boys.

Even with the pink and princess elements, this is a story with a lesson that all young readers will connect with.
