Borrow, at least. This is a book that would make a nice addition to a holiday or seasonal book collection.
The illustrations for this story are amazing and give young readers plenty to look at as you read the story. There were elements of the story (the ruby shoes in the river) that I had not read in other interpretations. I would definitely consider this rendition for my personal library.
Beautiful drawings illuminate this timeless fairy tale for young readers.
