Tino Turtle, a desert tortoise, dreams of traveling. In this story he goes to London and enjoys the sites and learns about England.
Nice illustrations and a fun story combine to introduce kids to new places.
My daughter liked this book. She laughed a couple of times and asked questions about the places Tino was visiting. I don't think she realized she was learning something new. She asked me to look up books about London and England so she could see the places and read about them again.
I enjoyed that this book is both educational and fun to read. It helped pique my daughter's interest in another city/country.
This is a picture book series about famous places around the world. It comes with a CD for reading along (and music, too).
This book is an excellent introduction to London - particularly if you're going to be traveling. It offers information about travel itself and things to see. It also helps kids understand the idea of being open to and trying new things.

Borrow. This is a nice book to read to learn about new places. It will get kids interested in reading more about a place, so be sure to ask your librarian for other titles.
