too purpley!

Summary:
Mom arrives with a pile of clothes so that our young narrator can get dressed. Slowly she winnows the pile, as she eliminates everything that is too tickly or too prickly; too itchy or too stitchy; too stripey, too baggy, too polk-a-dot-y, and more.
Reading Level:
0.0
Recommended Age To Read By Yourself:
5 to 8
Recommended Age To Read Together:
2 to 6
Age of child:
Read by an 8-year-old girl.
Purchase Recommendation:
Borrow. It is fun to read (and you'll read it several times!!) but your child will outgrow it ... just like their clothes.
Little Kid Reaction
My daughter has giggled and pointed her way through this book for a week now. She loves reading it from the front, or starting from the back.
Big Kid Reaction
This is a cute book. It would have been fun to have when she was a clothes-finicky toddler, but it still holds value now! The little girl and her pigtails are just adorable, as are her Charlie Brown-like features and expressions. This is a great book for Kindergartners and struggling first grade readers to build confidence and practice sight words and word families.
Pros:

Parents of little girls and little girls themselves will love this colorful book about finding the clothes that are "just right."

Cons:

None.
