If you liked Twilight ...

Summary:

Lucinda (Luce) Price now knows all about her extensive history with Daniel, the fallen angel with whom she has fallen in love. Because of that relationship, Luce is cursed to be reincarnated every 17 years. She has been reincarnated once again, and is in love with Daniel just like all the past times. But something is different. In order to stop a threat on her life, Daniel hides her at a Shoreine School where she can be safe and make new friends. She can feel danger on the horizon, which leaves her questioning if what Daniel tells her is real. er is real. Luce suspects that Daniel isn't being honest with her and she is determined to find the truth on her own. She can summon shadows - glimpses of her past - and has started to control them. But is that a good thing?

Teen Student Volunteer (16):
With its romance and very interesting take on the supernatural biblical elements, I would read this again. Torment has a vibe similar to Stephenie Meyer's Twilight., and Luce and Daniel's relationship is comparable to that of Bella and Edward.

This is one of the best book series I have ever read. I would buy this for myself and a friend.

Reader Enjoyment Factors:

If you liked Twilight, you will like the Fallen series and this book. The paranormal romance is well done, and the biblical inferences make it intriguing and interesting.

Content Awareness Factors:

There is some violence, as well as suggestive sexual content. Despite it's upper-elementary-grade reading level, this is a young adult novel for teens in high school or older.

This is the second book in a paranormal romance for teens.
Educational Themes:

This is a book to be read for fun.
