Touch And Tickle (Baby Gym Series)
This is part of a series of fun, interactive rhyming books. Illustrations show you how to do the movement and words direct those actions so you can perform the rhymes with your baby. There are also helpful hints for caring for your new baby, such as ways to hold or feed her.
Colorful pictures will engage infants at 6 months to toddlers at 2 years. The rhymes are fun and interactive, encouraging parent/child contact.
It is difficult to read and play at the same time.
Our sign liked the bright colors, but did not respond to the story as well. He did come back and flip through the pages by himself, but was not interested in me reading it again.
As a parent, I learned something to teach my child. The book has excellent rhymes and interactive/bouncing activities that you can do with an infant/toddler. The directions are excellent, but the activities are difficult to perform while holding/reading the book. These are some of my favorite rhymes that I already know. It may have been easier for me if I was learning them for the first time from this book.
Parent activity ideas complements this collection of classic nursery rhymes and songs.
This is an excellent resource for new parents to learn interactive bounce and play and tickle activities with an infant. There is a progression to perform the rhymes by heart without the book to encourage eye contact and bonding between the parent and child. It is also very supportive, encouraging, and reassuring for a new parent.

Borrow. This is a great book to get from a library or to borrow from a friend and pass on to a first-time parent. I would buy this for a first-time mom.
