Although our kindergartner hasn't encountered all of the activities described in the poems, s/he is familiar enough with school and its paraphernalia (like backpacks) to enjoy the humor. S/He especially liked watching the animal students.
What a fun read. There is plenty to enjoy (or reminisce) about being in school when we were young.
This is a collection of poems in a picture-book format.
Although there isn't much to "teach" from the book, it does create an opportunity to encourage kids to write poems about everyday things and events.
