Thankful Friday

It has been a bit of a crazy week around here …  I started doing some consulting work, which means that what used to be “normal” is in a state of flux. Running the Reading Tub is a full-time job with part-time hours,  but paying jobs trump volunteer work.  The Tub is my baby, and I was feeling a little down, I saw this

premiodardosaward The Reading Tub is part of a wonderful group of 15 blogs receiving the “Premio Dardas” award over at Chronicle of an Infant Bibliophile. Yeah! I needed that today.

The award recognizes  “bloggers who distinguish themselves for showing cultural values, ethics, great and fun writing skills, as well as individual values, through their creative writing.” To be picked by the Infant Bibliophile himself for our first award. How cool!

Winners are asked to follow three rules:
1. To accept and show the distinct image. (check)
2. Show the link to the blog from which you were given the award. (check)
3. Choose 15 blogs to give the Award (Premio Dardos). (stuck)
One of the things I love about the kidlitosphere book-blogging community is its shared passion and spirit.  There are so many great places I stop everyday, each for their own, unique reasons.  So I’m going to “push” as they say … and instead applaud us all and our love of kids and great books!
Now, if I had an iced chai, I’d raise that … a glass of water just doesn’t have the same effect!

  3. Congratulations! You truly deserve it. I don’t know how you do all that you do so well. You’re an inspiration to many of us.

    By the way, why not add a squeeze of lemon and some honey to your water?!
