Thursday Blurbs

For the Resolution Minded …
Sunday’s New York Times has an article with a methodology for how to weed your library. Thinning the shelves isn’t something we like to do, but when you’re looking for a fresh start (not to mention shelf space), you might find comfort in the articles. Franki did … that’s how I found the article.
For those looking for inspiration …
You have GOT to see Jules’ One Impossibly Crazy 2009 7-Imp Retrospective Before Breakfast. Holy Cannoli. Jules’ has outdone herself … it is a feast for your eyes that will carry you well into 2010.
Mark your calendar …
January 4. Yes, it is a red-letter day. Author and Ambassador Jon Scieszka is about to become Ambassador Emeritus. To celebrate all that he has done as National Ambassador for Children’s Literature, Franki and Mary Lee are hosting a virtual party at A Year of Reading. They’ve invited bloggers to write a Scieszka-esque post to thank him. After you publish your post, add it to the link list at A Yer of Reading.
